It is speculated that we'll get to see Stark's 360 panoramic view, which has the potential to be very cool in IMAX 3D. But Captain America: Civil War has the potential to put a lot of what is great about the Bleeding Edge armor to good use. The movie can't possibly feature Bleeding Edge armor that is as powerful as it is in the pages of the comic book, some of it veers too far off into fantasy land, and the big screen adventures attempt to stay somewhat grounded. It's not yet known how closely the movie will follow all of this. And Peter Parker, who first sides with Stark, eventually winds up on Team Captain America, but not before Tony has time to study his DNA and devise a way to end the wall-crawler. In the comic books, T'challa stays impartial to both sides during the time of the Sokovia Accords (otherwise known as the superhero registration act). But these heroes might decided to side with Tony Stark once they see how powerful he is. But he'll also have to contend with Spider-Man, whom he's never fought before, and Black Panther. The suit will surely make him much stronger than Steve Rogers. He'll need it as he faces off against some of his most powerful teammates. It makes sense that Tony Stark will be getting an upgrade. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. He can even summon an awesome energy sword.Ĭaptain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. This gives him the knowledge and willpower to create crafty new weapons of destruction, and he is able to see everything around him at all times. Even Captain America and Hulk! If that wasn't enough, the Bleeding Edge also has the ability to boost Tony's intellect. It still allows the superhero flight, super strength, repulser blasts, and a durability to face most any foe. It forms around him, working like his old Iron Man armor. Tony Stark keeps it inside of him, and can call upon it on demand. It arrived on the scene shortly after the extremely popular Extremis armor was introduced in the comics, which served to inspire some of Iron Man 3's storyline. The advanced piece of Bleeding Edge armor debuted in Matt Fraction and Ryan Meinerding's Invincible Iron Man #25. And it's a turn of events that will surely please longtime fans of the character. And while they all look to have moderately updated costumes, as is the norm for all Marvel movies (gotta keep that action figure line humming), it is Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man who seems to be getting the biggest and best upgrade. They include Chris Evans's Captain America, Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow, Don Cheadle's War Machine and Paul Rudd's Ant-Man. These latest set photos were taken in Germany, where the last few scenes were shot. Which means that elements from that comic book storyline may surface on screen next May, when Captain America: Civil War kicks off the summer movie season. What some of you may have missed, which Heroic Hollywood has been quick to point out, is that the armor in the set photos is based on the Bleeding Edge armor. Then yesterday, we got a few last set photos as Marvel co-president, Louis D'Esposito announced wrap on this Disney and Marvel sequel. Back in May, we showed you some concept art from Captain America: Civil War that featured Iron Man in the iconic Bleeding Edge armor.
